Evening Yoga
Slow stretches, steady breathing and a long rest to help you mark the end of the day.
Early start
Mornings are often rushed. This class gives you a short, structured pause before the day begins: some easy movement for a body that may feel stiff after sleep, a few minutes of steady breathing, and simple standing poses to finish.
The pace is unhurried but purposeful. Many people find a regular morning practice helps them feel more awake and settled, and because classes are short, it can fit before work or the school run.
What to expect
Seated or lying stretches to ease stiffness.
Flowing movement for the spine, hips and shoulders.
A short sequence of standing poses, with a wall or chair nearby if you like.
One or two minutes of stillness before you finish.

Helpful but optional
Morning classes are live on Zoom. Because they are short, try to join a couple of minutes early so you do not miss the warm-up.
Balance poses can always be done with a hand on a wall or chair. If your body feels particularly stiff first thing, stay with the smaller versions of each movement.
Muscles and joints can feel stiffer in the morning, so take the warm-up seriously and do not push into deep stretches straight away.
Some people prefer to practise on an empty stomach; others like a light snack first. Do what feels comfortable for you.
Questions
It is a personal choice. Many people prefer an empty stomach or a light snack, as stronger poses can feel uncomfortable straight after a large meal.
A short practice that you can keep up regularly is often more useful than a long one you rarely manage. Health guidance encourages adults to break up long periods of inactivity, and every bit of movement counts.
Yes. The class starts gently and builds slowly. You may find it easier if you set up your mat the evening before.
